Top 5 Hottest Songs of September!
Written by Alexander Graves
This month’s top 10 songs right now are:
#1. “Look What You Made Me Do” - Taylor Swift
My Review: Not a major fan of Taylor myself, I didn’t really enjoy her new single. And ok… I’ll ask the real question everyone had after listening to this song…”What just happened?” She has changed a lot as an artist! When she first was popular, she was this little country girl, slowly making her name known in the world. Now a popular pop star saying the old Taylor is Dead?? WHAT!?! Rating: 3 out of 5.
#2. “Bodak Yellow” - Cardi B
My Review: uuuummmmm??? Someone help me? This song is about 99% curse words and about 1% backbeat. Not a fan, Sorry but not sorry not a song I would play at ony other time than to just listen to it for this review.
#3. “1-800-273-8255” - Logic
My Review: I enjoyed the heart and soul ‘Logic’ Put into this song! It seems like he had some problems and is doing his best to deal with them, and this song oddly-titled however… He asks if we can relate… I believe that some people can relate. People “are hurt deep down but don’t show it."
#4. “Despacito” - Luis Fonsi (feat. Justin Bieber)
My Review: I knew this one was coming, when you take a soulful spanish vocalist and mix it with a soulful American vocalist, and add some spanish guitar and some sweet lyrics that nobody actually knows the words to, ya get this! A wonderful song that just about everyone was bumping this summer. The fact that this song came out earlier this summer and it’s still #4 in the top 100 on the Billboard… amazing! I enjoyed the fact that both singers added their own style in the song, it made it that much better!
#5. “Too Good At Goodbyes” - Sam Smith
My Review: Well… He obviously has some problems. This song just proves it, it’s emotional while telling the listener he has maybe something good in the beginning, then they leave and he has to say goodbye again.
